The Plymouth County Sheriff's Office patrol division consists of nine (9) sheriff's deputies. Plymouth County is the 4th largest county in the State of Iowa with regards to square miles (853). This provides a challenge for the deputies assigned to keeping our roads safe. Eight of the nine deputies have other assigned responsibilities besides patrol.

 

The Plymouth County Sheriff's Office has been the recipient of numerous Governor's Traffic Safety Bureau grants. This has provided equipment such as radars, camera's, and preliminary breath testing units. It has also been used for deputy training and overtime hours.
