JOB OPENINGS

Full-Time Correctional Officer - Female
Correctional Officers are responsible for the supervision, care, custody, control and physical restraint, when necessary, of inmates in a Correctional Institution or facility. 

You must be 18 years of age and be able to read, write, type and write reports. You must have a high school diploma or GED, valid driver's license and be of good moral character as determined through a background investigation which includes fingerprints for local, state and national files. You also must not by reason of conscience or belief be opposed to the use of force, when appropriate or necessary, to fulfill the duties as a correctional officer. 

Part-Time Correctional Officer
Must be able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays

Full-Time Communications Dispatcher
The Plymouth County Sheriff's Office in Le Mars, IA is accepting applications for a full time Dispatcher/911 Operator. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: receiving 911 and administrative calls, operating CAD dispatching software, maintain IOWA/NCIC records, and paging ambulance & fire departments. Shifts involve days, nights, weekends, and holidays. A complete job description is on our website.

Part-Time Food Service

Cook and serve meals while following state certified guidelines and serving accurate portions as required in menu.  Hours 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and includes some weekends and holidays.  Minimum of 16 hours per week with a possibility of up to 28 hours a week. 

Offering IPERS and vacation pay. 

 

Part-Time Civil Clerk

The Plymouth County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for a part-time civil clerk position.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to:  front window receptionist, process weapons permits, processing documents from the court for civil and criminal actions, transcription, make bank deposits and financial reports.  This position would be daytime hours Monday-Friday approximately 20 hrs a week.  Experience in data entry, civil/criminal law and clerical work preferred but not required.
