PLYMOUTH COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE
www.PlymouthCountySheriff.com
The Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office launched a new website on June 1st, where residents can find the latest information regarding the operations of the sheriff’s office. The new website will serve as an information resource for the public as well as assist with community policing efforts.
One of the main goals of the new website is to provide information to the public about sex offenders living in the county. The interactive map feature on the Website allows the public to view where sex offenders live, view offender photos along with profile information about the offenses.
“The safety of county residents is our primary concern at the sheriff’s office. We feel the sex offender website map feature allows us to better protect county residents by keeping them informed,” said Sheriff Mike Van Otterloo.
In addition to the sex offender map, the Website includes:
Press Releases News Updates
Information on each Division Most Wanted Listing
Current Jail Roster Crime Stoppers
Active Warrants Weapons Permit Application
Sheriff’s Sales Email Alert Notifications
“Posting information on the website improves the efficiency of the sheriff’s office by reducing the number of inquiry calls handled by our office. The new Website will provide greater transparency for the sheriff’s office and encourages the public to take a more active role in the community policing efforts. Our intent is for every Plymouth County resident to visit the site and become familiar with how to access the many features it has to offer. We believe the website is a huge benefit to the sheriff’s office and the residents of Plymouth County as well,” said Sheriff Van Otterloo.
