On 3/5/16 at approximately 10:04 pm the Plymouth County Sheriff's Office received a report of an unresponsive male due to an assault at 30313 Tamarack Avenue in rural Plymouth County.
The investigation states that Randy McKee, 54, of Kingsley was involved in a physical altercation with Jeffrey Olis, 34, of Lincoln, NE at mentioned address. This occurred by the garage area at this residence and during the altercation a baseball bat was used by Olis and struck McKee several times with the bat in the head rendering McKee incapacitated and unresponsive from the assault. Kingsley Ambulance was notified and transported McKee to an area south of where the incident occurred where Mercy Air Care landed and transported patient to Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City. McKee was stable upon arrival at Mercy Medical Center.
Olis was arrested for felony assault and taken to the Plymouth County Jail and held on a bond of $5,000.00.
Assisting at the scene was the Iowa State Patrol, Kingsley Fire and Rescue, Kingsley Ambulance, Kingsley Police and Mercy Air Care. The investigation will continue by the Plymouth County Sheriff's Office. |
