Sheriff Mike Van Otterloo announced today that Plymouth County citizens are being invited to join the Iowa State Sheriff’s and Deputies Association as an Honorary Member. Membership appeals will be going out in the mail shortly. Individuals choosing to join the VOLUNTARY program can do so by sending their tax-deductible payment.
The Iowa State Sheriff’s and Deputies Association (ISSDA) is an asset to the Plymouth County Sheriff and his office. Many of the current employees of the sheriff’s office are serving on various committees of the association.
The ISSDA provides training and scholarships along with supporting Iowa Special Olympics and YMCA camps for Plymouth County kids.
This solicitation is by mail only, and no follow-up will be conducted if a person is not interested in becoming an Honorary Member (simply throw it in the garbage). Solicitation WILL NOT be made by phone. This is the only association that Sheriff Van Otterloo personally endorses.
Citizens are urged to call the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office at 712-546-8191 or visit our website at www.plymouthcountysheriff.com with any questions or concerns regarding this solicitation.
