Grasz arrested on numerous counts of sexual exploitation and invasion of privacy

     On 03/25/2016, the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint from a Plymouth County resident regarding some suspicious activity that had occurred at a residence in Craig, Iowa. The complainant reported that she felt she was being spied on by a male subject.

     On 03/31/2016, the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at the James Grasz residence, the address being 840 Main Street, Craig, Iowa. Items were seized and taken as evidence.

     The investigation continued for several months and it was determined by investigators that individuals had been videotaped at 840 Main Street, Craig Iowa in various states of nudity without their consent or knowledge. These individuals were both adults and juveniles at the time of the incidents, which had taken place over the course of 10 years or more.

     On 06/14/2016, JAMES L. GRASZ, age 66 of Craig Iowa, was arrested on warrants issued out of Plymouth County and charged with the following:

6 counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, Class C Felonies

5 counts of Invasion of Privacy, Serious Misdemeanors

     Grasz was booked into the Plymouth County Jail where bond was set at $50,000.

     The investigation continues.
