10-50 PI Rollover accident

On 1-5-2016 at 9:16 pm, the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office responded to an accident with injuries on C-38 near Lake Ave south of LeMars. Upon arrival, deputies found a one vehicle accident with four individuals with minor non-life threatening injuries. Upon investigation, deputies determined that the driver had fallen asleep and entered the north ditch at which time the vehicle struck a culvert and waterway. The vehicle sustained totaling damage and was valued at approximately $3,500. All four individuals were taken to Floyd Valley Hospital by LeMars Ambulance. The driver was cited with fail to maintain control and operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license. LeMars Fire Department was also on scene and assisted.
