Pigg 10-50 (PI)

On January 27, 2017, the Plymouth County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call of a semi in the ditch, just north of county road C80 by mile marker 101.  Witnesses stated that the truck was northbound on Highway 75 when it veered into the east ditch traveling several hundred feet before it came to a stop.  Other motorists stopped to render aid to the driver of the semi.

The driver, Kent E. Pigg, of Laurel, NE appeared to have some sort of a medical condition that caused the semi to go into the ditch.  Pigg was transported to Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa.

The Plymouth County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Hinton Police Department, Hinton Fire and Ambulance, Iowa DOT, and Iowa Motor Vehicle Enforcement.

At the time of this release, the condition of Mr. Pigg is not known.
