Spink accident

On 03/11/11 at 0045 hrs, the Plymouth County Communications Center received a 911 call concerning a personal injury accident SE of Hinton on County Rd K-42.

Plymouth County Sheriff’s deputies and Hinton emergency services were dispatched and arrived a short time later.  It was discovered that a 1998 Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling southwest on K-42, when the driver lost control of the vehicle and entered the north ditch.  The vehicle rolled several times and the driver was ejected from the vehicle.

Siouxland Paramedics and Mercy Air Care were dispatched and arrived at the scene. The driver of the vehicle, Brodie D. Spink, of Kingsley was air lifted to Mercy Medical Center, with life threatening injuries.  Two passengers, Austin M Lohse of Pierson and Zoey E Puhlof Kingsley were transported to Mercy with minor injuries.

An investigation into the crash is continuing by the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office.  Alcohol and seatbelt usage are suspected to be a factor in this accident.
