ATV accident

On March 19th 2011 at 1935 hours, the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office responded to an ATV accident with injuries 2 miles south of Le Mars on Lake Ave.  Upon arrival, it was learned that 2 juvenile females had been operating an ATV in a corn stubble field.  The driver lost control of the vehicle causing it to flip over.  The ATV came to rest on top of both females.  The driver received life threatening injuries, the passenger was not injured.  The driver was transported to Floyd Valley Hospital and then flown to a Sioux Falls Hospital.  The Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Le Mars Ambulance and Police.  The accident remains under investigation.
