On 6-3-2017 at 11:08 a.m. the Plymouth County Sheriff’s office received several 911 calls about an accident that occurred at Highway #75 and C-12. LeMars Ambulance, LeMars Fire Department and deputies were dispatched.
Rescue personnel found 2 individuals injured and they were transported to Floyd Valley Hospital.
Initial investigation found that a vehicle driven by Brandon Krueger, 31, of Holmes City, MN was eastbound on C-12. Krueger was driving a 2013 Ford F-150. Krueger failed to stop for the stop sign at Highway #75 and collided with a north bound 2008 Buick Enclave driven by John Nobel, 82, of LeMars. Krueger’s vehicle spun around from the collision and came to rest in the intersection facing northwest. Nobel’s vehicle entered the northeast ditch, staying on its wheels where it came to rest.
Nobel and his passenger, Marilyn Nobel were the 2 individuals transported to the hospital. Marilyn was later transferred to Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City. The injuries are not believed to be life threatening at this time. Krueger was uninjured.
Krueger has been cited for Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign.
