Mohning/Rubio-Avila accident

ON MARCH 25TH, 2011 AT APPROXIMATELY 07:35 A.M., THE PLYMOUTH COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE AND THE HINTON AMBULANCE WERE DISPATCHED TO A TWO VEHICLE ACCIDENT ON C-60 APPROXIMATELY ONE MILE EAST OF HINTON.  

 

AN INVESTIGATION DETERMINED THAT KRISTINE MARIE MOHNING OF RURAL PLYMOUTH COUNTY LOST CONTROL OF HER VEHICLE WHILE TRAVELING WEST ON C-60 AND CROSSED INTO THE OPPOSING LANE OF TRAFFIC.  MOHNING'S 2006 FORD FUSION THEN COLLIDED HEAD ON WITH A 1999 GMC JIMMY BEING OPERATED BY VICTOR RUBIO-AVILA OF DAKOTA CITY, NE.  THE GMC JIMMY WAS ALSO OCCUPIED BY FRONT PASSENGER LUIS PEREZ OF DAKOTA CITY, NE.  RUBIO-AVILA AND PEREZ WERE TRANSPORTED BY HINTON AMBULANCE TO MERCY HOSPITAL WHERE THEY WERE TREATED FOR MINOR INJURIES AND RELEASED. 

 

KRISTINE MARIE MOHNING WAS PRIVATELY TRANSPORTED TO FLOYD VALLEY HOSPITAL WHERE SHE WAS DETERMINED TO BE UNINJURED.  WEATHER CONDITIONS WERE A FACTOR IN THE ACCIDENT.
