Lander arrested for eluding

On 9-23-17, the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office arrested Britt Arthur Lander, age 36 of Akron, IA.  At approximately 12:39 am, a Plymouth County Deputy attempted to stop Britt Lander for driving on the wrong side of the roadway at K-22/260th St.  Lander drove into a farm drive and then attempted to elude the deputy.  A pursuit started northbound on K22 to 250th St.  Lander’s vehicle lost control and entered the ditch at that intersection.  The vehicle drove out of the ditch and continued westbound on 250th St.  Lander’s speed exceeded the 50 mph speed limit by at least 25 mph.  Lander then lost control again at 250th St and Evergreen Ave.  Lander was taken into custody without further incident. Lander was arrested and charged with Eluding (aggravated misdemeanor) and reckless driving (simple misdemeanor).  He was also cited for driving on the wrong side of the highway and speeding.  Bond was set at $2,000 and he was booked into the Plymouth County Jail.
