Farah arrested for disorderly conduct

On April 19th, 2018 at 0639, Plymouth County Deputies were sent to the area of Hwy 75 and Jade Ave for a possible assault. Upon arrival, deputies located a black male running in and across the Hwy 75 lanes of travel. This subject was detained and was taken to Floyd Valley Hospital by Hinton Ambulance. During the investigation, it was determined that there had been an assault inside of a vehicle that was traveling on Hwy 75. However the victim did not wish to pursue criminal charges. After being medically cleared,  the subject, Shakir Jama Farah, age 32 of Sioux City, was arrested for disorderly conduct by obstructing a public way. He was taken to the Plymouth County Jail and held to see a judge. The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Le Mars Police, Iowa State Patrol, Merrill and Hinton Ambulance.
