On May 11th, 2011 at 1124 a.m., the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call of a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Akron Police, Fire and Ambulance along with the sheriff’s office responded to the area of 314th and Hwy 12. Upon arrival, it was learned that this was a rollover with two persons injured.
The front seat passenger, Jarren Watterson, age 18, of Sioux City, was taken to Mercy Medical with possible injuries and he has since been released. A backseat passenger, Brandon Parsley, age 16, of Sioux City, was taken to Mercy Medical with possible injuries. His current condition is unknown. There were four people total in the car. One passenger was ejected but refused medical treatment from paramedics on scene. The driver was not injured.
The vehicle was a 1995 Honda Civic owned and driven by Alexander Villalpando and was listed as totaled. Villalpando, age 18, was cited for failure to maintain control of his vehicle.
