A Plymouth County deputy performed a traffic stop on Highway 12 and 314th St in Plymouth County, Iowa on 12/12/2018 at 11:30 PM for a traffic violation. The driver of the vehicle, Dallas Earl Longwell, age 31 of North Sioux City, South Dakota, was found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Longwell was also found to have an invalid driver’s license through South Dakota upon a records check. Longwell was placed under arrest and transported to the Plymouth County Jail where he was asked to take field sobriety tests, which he failed. Upon completion of the investigation, Dallas Earl Longwell was booked into the Plymouth County Jail for OWI first offense (serious misdemeanor), possession of a controlled substance-marijuana first offense (serious misdemeanor), possession of drug paraphernalia (simple misdemeanor), and driving without a valid driver’s license (simple misdemeanor). His bond was set at $1,000.
