On February 23, 2019 at approximately 9:01 a.m., the Plymouth County Sheriff's Office received a call regarding a crash that had occurred at the Cherokee County/Plymouth County line near the intersection of C38 and Tamarack Avenue. Plymouth County and Cherokee County deputies responded along with Cherokee Ambulance and Remsen Ambulance. When arriving at the scene, deputies investigated the crash and learned that Steven Bruder of Cherokee had been driving a 2004 silver Trailblazer westbound on C38 and had lost control due to icy conditions. Bruder lost control and went into the north ditch. Bruder was transported to the hospital by Cherokee Ambulance with minor injuries.
