Meehan arrested on drug charges

On June 2, 2019 at 5:58 p.m., the Plymouth County Sheriff's Office arrested Jacob Meehan, age 24 of Marcus, Iowa, for possession of a controlled substance marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A traffic stop was conducted at the intersection of business 75 and Highway 3 in Le Mars.  Upon a search of the vehicle, a sheriff's deputy located a green, leafy substance believed to be marijuana in Mr. Meehan's vehicle.  An E-cig containing a liquid form of cannabis was also found in the vehicle.  When Mr. Meehan was questioned about these items, he admitted that they were marijuana and contained THC.  Mr. Meehan was arrested and transported to the Plymouth County Jail for booking.
