Robinson cited for failure to maintain control and open container

On 9/7/19, the Plymouth County Sheriff's Office dispatched Hinton Fire and Ambulance to a single vehicle motor vehicle accident on 320th Street in Plymouth County, Iowa.  Upon arrival, deputies were able to locate two subjects laying down in a nearby corn field.  One subject, Jeremy Daniel Robinson, age 40 of Hinton, Iowa, was the registered owner of the vehicle in the ditch.  Witnesses were able to identify Mr. Robinson as the driver of the motor vehicle.  Mr. Robinson displayed several signs of impairment and an impaired driving investigation began. 

Upon completion of the investigation, Mr. Robinson was placed under arrest, transported to the Plymouth County Jail and booked for OWI first offense.  Mr. Robinson was written a citation for failure to maintain control of the motor vehicle and open container.  The Plymouth County Sheriff's Office was assisted by Hinton Fire and EMS and the Kingsley Police Department.
