Assault investigation

         On September 30th, 2019 at 4:16 PM, the Plymouth County Sheriff's Office received a call of an assault victim located near the intersection of C60 and Granite Ave, approximately 6 miles west of Hinton. Plymouth County deputies and Hinton Ambulance were dispatched to the area.

           

Upon arrival, a female was located in the area. She was treated on the scene by Hinton Ambulance and then transported to a Sioux City hospital.

           

Deputies on the scene developed information that the female had been assaulted in Sioux City. The female was then driven to the area of C60 and Granite Ave and dropped off. A passing motorist found the female and contacted authorities.

 

Plymouth County deputies contacted the Sioux City Police Department and at this point the case remains under investigation. No further information is available at this time.

 

Plymouth County was assisted at the scene by the Merrill Police Department.
