On December 5, 2019, at approximately 10:52 a.m., a Plymouth County Sheriff's Deputy attempted to stop a 2011 Hyundai Sonata Ltd. near K22 and 280th Street. The vehicle failed to obey the Deputy's lights and sirens and continued north-bound onto K22 and a pursuit ensued. The vehicle headed west-bound on C43 until K18 and it then started toward Sioux City on Highway 12 reaching speeds over 100 mph in a 55 mph zone. During the pursuit, it was learned that the vehicle was stolen out of Sioux City.
In the 3300 block of Military Road, the vehicle came to a rest with the assistance of Sioux City Police. The driver, Megan Marie Mcmillin, age 25, of North Sioux City, was arrested for the following charges: theft, 2nd; felony eluding; possession of drug paraphernalia; operating while under the influence; and speeding.
Assisting agencies were the Merrill Police Department, Hinton Police Department, Sioux City Police Department and the Iowa State Patrol. |
