Emmons and Robertson arrested for burglary

On 12/10/19, the Plymouth County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call of people on the property of a residence on K22 in Plymouth County, Iowa at approximately 0700 hours.  The suspects then fled to a nearby residence.  Deputies arrived at the residence and identified John Andrew Emmons, age 49 of Merrill, Iowa.  A second subject was identified as David M. Robertson, age 55 of Omaha, Nebraska.

Upon further investigation, it was learned that both suspects gained entry into the original residence on K22 without permission or legal justification in an attempt to obtain property not belonging to them.  John Andrew Emmons and David M. Robertson were both placed under arrest and transported to the Plymouth County Jail where they were booked in for burglary 3rd degree, a class D felony.  David M. Robertson was also charged with possession of burglary tools.
