Rohlfs arrest on warrant, DWLR, PCS and Paraphernalia

ON 10/03/2021, THE PLYMOUTH COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE WAS REQUESTED AT THE 19000 BLK OF HICKORY AVE, WEST OF LE MARS FOR A PROPERTY DAMAGE MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT. UPON ARRIVAL THE DRIVER OF THE VEHICLE WAS IDENTIFED AS LAMONT ALLEN ROHLFS, AGE 53 OF LE MARS, IOWA. ROHLFS SHOWED TO HAVE A REVOKED IOWA DRIVER'S LICENSE AND A VALID ARREST WARRANT OUT OF WOODBURY COUNTY, IOWA FOR OPERATING WHILE INTOXICATED. ROHLFS WAS THEN PLACED UNDER ARREST AND TRANSPORTED TO THE PLYMOUTH COUNTY JAIL. AT THE PLYMOUTH COUNTY JAIL, ROHLFS WAS FOUND TO BE IN POSSESSION OF GLASS PIPES COMMONLY USED TO SMOKE METHAMPHETAMINE AND A CRYTSAL LIKE SUBSTANCE BELIEVED TO BE METHAMPHETAMINE. ROHLFS WAS EVALUATED BY A DRUG RECOGNITION EXPERT AND CONFIRMED TO BE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF A DRUG OTHER THAN ALCOHOL. ROHLFS WAS THEN CHARGED WITH OWI FIRST OFFENSE, POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE FIRST OFFENSE, POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA, DRIVING WHILE LICENSE REVOKED, AND FAILURE TO MAINTAIN CONTROL OF A MOTOR VEHICLE. THE PLYMOUTH COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE WAS ASSIDTED BY THE IOWA STATE PATROL AND MERRILL FIRE RESCUE.
