Batiste arrested for PCS/No License/Interference

On October 7, 2023, a deputy with the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle with an equipment violation.  The driver of the vehicle, later found to be Jeremy Elton Batiste, age 34 of Des Moines, Iowa, was requested to provide a license and proof of insurance.   Batiste refused to identify himself and refused to comply to deputies requests.  Ultimately, after well over an hour had passed, Batiste was arrested for interference with official acts and through investigation his identity was discovered.  Batiste was ultimately charged with interference for failing to provide identification information, possession of a controlled substance, operating with no valid license, no proof of insurance, and defective/unauthorized muffler system.
