Bustos arrested for OWI/PCS

On August 15, 2023 at approximately 10:45pm, a traffic stop was conducted by a Plymouth County Deputy at the intersection of C-38 and Lake Ave in Le Mars, Iowa. During the traffic stop the driver, Jesus Bustos, age 23 of Cherokee, Iowa, was found to be in possession of a controlled substance. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Plymouth County Jail. While at the Jail a DRE assessment was preformed. After the conclusion of this assessment, Jesus was believed to be under the influence of a controlled substance and was charged with OWI 1^st offense. He was also charged with possession of a controlled substance 1^st offense and a registration violation. He was booked into the Plymouth County Jail on those charges.
