Hodgson arrested for Theft 2nd and Burglary 3rd

On April 21, 2024, the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office received report of golf clubs stolen from the cart shed at the Prairie Rose Golf Course in Brunsville.  During investigation deputies developed a suspect, Chris Hodgson age 42 of Brunsville, IA.  Evidence was collected during the investigation and a search warrant was executed at Hodgson’s home where some of the stolen golf clubs were located and recovered.  As the investigation continued more victims came forward with reports of stolen clubs.  With these new reports further clubs were able to be identified and located as stolen in Hodgson’s possession.  Ultimately the total value of the clubs reported stolen was over $7,000.  On April 27th warrants were requested for Hodgson and on May 1st he was arrested and charged with theft 2nd and burglary 3rd, which are both Class “D” felonies.  Hodgson was released from the Plymouth County Jail after posting a $5000 bond the same day.
