Liss/Hindermann 10-50 PI
On June 9th at noon the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office was advised of a crash at Hwy 3 and K64 involving a semi and a passenger car. Upon arrival it was determined that an SUV and a small pickup were actually involved.
A 2020 Ford Ranger owned by Seaboard Foods and operated by Garrett Liss was eastbound on Hwy 3 and slowing to wait for traffic to clear to make a left hand turn from Hwy 3 onto K64. This vehicle sustained an estimated $2500 in damage.
A 2017 Chevy Cruz owned and operated by Michael Hindermann of Remsen was also eastbound on Hwy 3. Hindermann failed to see the slowing vehicle in time and struck the left rear of the ford with the right front of his Chevy. This vehicle was listed as totaled.
The Chevy Cruz then flipped onto the driver’s side coming to rest in the roadway. A passenger in the Hindermann vehicle was transported to Floyd Valley Hospital with non-lifethreatening injuries.
Assisting at the scene were Le Mars Fire/Rescue, Le Mars Police, and Oyens Fire. Charges are pending at this time.
