Martinez arrested for OWI and DWLS

On 9/9/2023 at approximately 5:59 p.m., the Plymouth County Sheriff’s office received a complaint of a vehicle traveling in a reckless manner north on highway 75.  The occupants of that vehicle were also observed smoking marijuana.  A short time later the suspect vehicle was located at the Oyens shooting range.  An investigation was conducted and as a result Gerardo Esteban Martinez, dob 8/19/2004, of Sioux City was placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance and while having a suspended Iowa license.  He was booked into the Plymouth County Jail.
