Moffatt/Martinac arrests

On May 12, 2024, a traffic stop was conducted at the intersection of K-22 and 200th street in Merrill, Iowa. The driver, Rivers Moffatt, age 21 of Le Mars, Iowa was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. The passenger, Jon Martinac Jr., age 50 of Le Mars, Iowa had an active arrest warrant out of Plymouth County, Iowa. He was also found to be in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Both were transported to the Plymouth County Jail. While at the jail, an OWI investigation was completed on Mr. Moffatt and he was found to be under the influence. He was booked into the Plymouth County Jail for possession of a controlled substance marijuana 2nd offense, possession of methamphetamine 1st offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, OWI 1st offense and speeding. Mr. Martinac was booked into the Plymouth County Jail for possession of a controlled substance marijuana 3rd and subsequent offense, drug paraphernalia and on his two active arrest warrants.
