Morrical arrested for OWI, Interference and Fraudulent Use of Registration

On 08/19/2022 the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office attempted to assists motorists near the intersection of K18 South and Highway 12 in Plymouth County, Iowa. The occupants of the vehicle were identified as Linn Morrical, age 53 of Sioux City, Iowa and Joshua Shultz, age 40 of Sioux City, Iowa. Shultz was found to have two valid arrests warrants out of Woodbury County, Iowa for felon in possession of a firearm and for probation violation. During the investigation Shultz lied about his name numerous times. Shultz was placed under arrest and transported to the Plymouth County Jail where he was booked on his warrants and also charged with providing false identifying information. Morrical was also placed under arrest for interference with official acts, fraudulent use of registration, and failure to provide proof of financial responsibility. Morrical was then transported to the Plymouth County Jail. At the jail, Morrical was evaluated by a drug recognition expert who confirmed Morrical to have been operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a drug other than alcohol. Morrical was additionally charged with OWI 1st offense.
