Perez-Triviso arrested for OWI/PCS/Paraphernalia/Child Endangerment

On April 20, 2024, a deputy with the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for a serious speeding violation.  The driver of the vehicle was found to be Azusamarie Perez-Triviso, age 18 of Sheldon, Iowa.  The odor of marijuana was detected inside the vehicle and an investigation began.  A six month old child was located in the back seat unsecured.  Ultimately, Perez-Triviso was transported to the Plymouth County Jail where she was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, OWI, child endangerment, and a handful of other traffic violations. The mother of the child, Jalea Frenchman of Sioux City, Iowa, was also present in the vehicle and was issued a citation for failing to secure her child properly
