On December 6, 223 at approximately 1015 hrs., the Le Mars Police Department received a report of a person slumped over the steering wheel of a tractor near 200th and K42. Upon arrival deputies located Lamont Rohlfs, age 56 of rural Le Mars. Rohlfs had been operating an IH tractor eastbound on 200th at K42. Rohlfs was found to have a barred driver’s license in Iowa along with 3 warrants for his arrest. While taking Rohlfs into custody, he was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Rohlfs was taken to the Plymouth County Jail and charged with the following: Drive while license barred, Possession of methamphetamine 2nd offense; Possession of drug paraphernalia. Rohlfs was also arrested on three outstanding warrants. The warrants were as follows: OWI 2nd offense and Criminal mischief 3rd; Possession of methamphetamine; Possession of drug paraphernalia. The warrants steam from a similar incident in August of 2023.
Rohlfs is being help on a bond of $6,500. The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Le Mars Police Department.
