Weaver arrested for OWI/PCS and Paraphernalia

On 03/07/2022, the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a motor vehicle on highway 60 in Plymouth County, Iowa due to a speed violation. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Joseph Thomas Weaver, age 39 of La Crosse, Wisconsin. Weaver was requested to exit the vehicle and upon doing so had a small zip lock style bag containing methamphetamine stuck to his shirt. Weaver was placed under arrest and transported to the Plymouth County Jail. At the jail, Weaver was evaluated by a drug recognition expert who confirmed Weaver to be operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a drug other than alcohol. Weaver was booked into the Plymouth County Jail for operating while intoxicated 1st offense, possession of methamphetamine 1st offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
